How does attendance tracking work?

In the panel you create an attendance point, set its location and the allowed area (a radius or a drawn polygon). You print the generated QR code. Employees scan it with the phone camera, sign in once with their employee number and PIN; later scans only take the location and record a clock-in or clock-out.

How is the location verified?

At scan time the phone's GPS position is compared with the point's area. Outside the area no record is created and the employee sees how many metres away they are. Readings with poor GPS accuracy are rejected.

Do employees need to install an app?

No. The regular camera app is enough; the page that opens in the browser does everything. The upcoming geldimmi mobile app will work with the same QR codes.

What does the free plan include?

One unit, 5 employees and 2 attendance points; unlimited clock-in/out records, a daily overview, 90 days of history and CSV export. More units, staff and points will come with paid plans.

What is the unit tree for?

You define hierarchical units such as company, branch and department, and attach staff and attendance points to them. Reports can be filtered by unit; the upcoming duty roster module will use the same units and staff.

Is the data secure?

Connections are encrypted, PINs are stored only as hashes, every employee device is identified by its own key and can be signed out with one click. Location is captured only at scan time; there is no background tracking.
